Our Teachers

Monica is a registered Music Together® teacher. She has a master's degree in horn performance from West Virginia University, and a bachelor's degree in music education and piano pedagogy certificate from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. During graduate school she was a teaching assistant for the West Virginia University horn studio, music history classes, and world music classes. While in Texas she taught piano and horn lessons through the Stephen F. Austin Music Prep Program, and tutored students in music history through the Academic Assistance and Resource Center. Monica has performed with a variety of ensembles, including the West Virginia University Symphony Orchestra and the West Virginia University Chamber Winds, but her passion is teaching music to others.
